hi, i’m angie.

I was born & raised in Texas, and moved out to San Diego in 2021. I am a speech-language pathologist and have been working with the pediatric population since I graduated in 2020. I am an American-born Chinese and a lame older sister to two really cool younger siblings. I love to travel, eat, cook, move my body, and be outside. I love and have deep admiration for the people I have chosen to be in my life. I am a cat mom to my orange tabby cat Ray. I never take anything too seriously, yet love to overthink.

I have been behind a camera since 2010, started just by taking random photos of my friends and family. Eventually, my canon powershot turned into my first DSLR (canon 7D). All throughout high school I never was without a camera. In college, I started getting paid to take grad photos and got booked for other things like couple photos and weddings. In 2018, I bought my first film camera (RIP olympus Mjuii) and since then have found myself diving deeper into the world of analog photography.

Today, I don’t really feel like I photograph anything exclusively. Using a mix of film and digital, I do a little bit of everything and I like that. I am not an expert in anything and am here to try new things and experiment. At the end of the day, I love being able to provide people with the gift of a nice photograph.

i love to capture real moments involving real people in their most organic forms. using a mix of film & digital, i aim to capture my subjects in their most natural, authentic states of being.
